Janne Beate Reitan is Associate Professor of Art and Design Education at the Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences. She holds a PhD at AHO – the Oslo School of Architecture and Design with the dissertation Improvisation in Tradition: A study of contemporary vernacular clothing design practiced by Iñupiaq women of Kaktovik, North Alaska.
