The second edition of this reference works contains biographical profiles of more than 730,000 artists from all over the world, covering all ages. 160,000 new names have been added, more than 120,000 have been brought up-to-date. The entries contain names, information on profession, life dates and places as well as country classification and bibliographical references. The index is an independent reference work as well as a preview on the Allgemeines Künstlerlexikon.
