Jonathan Meese

Zeichnungen / Drawings

von

This book offers a representative selection of hitherto unpublished drawings by Jonathan Meese; they cut across all the phases of his work as an artist and thus give an exciting insight into his oeuvre of drawings. The book also features an essay by Roberto Ohrt entitled “Dr. No Private Meese and the Masks of History,” which deals extensively with the public animosity the artist has faced in recent years in Germany. It peaked in 2013, with his being sued. The book was published by Harpune Verlag on the occasion of an exhibition at 8. Salon in 2015 in Hamburg’s St. Pauli district.
