Two years after his American after his American Lover Sandra Barclay has died, her son John moves in with Richard Hall because he plans on studying in Germany for a year. The situation is tense: John found out about his mother‘s love affair with Richard. In Germany he develops a close relationship with Richard‘s kids Jessica and Mats, which culminates in an odd deal – a dangerous game takes its course.
