She is ambitious in the job, but rather shy and calm. When young Faith wants to cross the tracks one evening at the station, as she does every night after work, something very strange happens: a deep, seemingly endless hole opens in front of her in the middle of the street. Apparently only she can see it. When she wants to run from it, Faith is tied in … and the young woman suddenly lands in a completely different world, a world that exists under the city. In addition to gloomy figures, immortal creatures, mythical creatures and will-less people, there are also ordinary people who are called „Wanderers“ and who climb up every day, lead their daily lives and then go down into the so-called „Underground“. These wanderers try to maintain a co-existence between the two worlds, without the underground being known to the upper world and someone coming to know about it. Faith joins them and quickly becomes their leader. However, the Rebels, who have been waging war against the Wanderers for years, are already on their heels. Only gradually does Faith understand why this is so. She is a hunted person because she seems to have strange powers.
One day when she rescues the fearful Gil during a chase in the upper world, she takes him to the Underground and turns him into her adviser – but he is the one who is guarding a devastating secret that could destroy not only the Underground, but the world Faith is coming from as well…
